Mr. Show: The Flaming Lips 8.10.02
We know, we know - the Flaming Lips are on a major label, so they don’t belong on this blog. And therefore we won’t spend much time talking about them.
But with all that said, we can’t stop thinking about Wayne Coyne’s unforgettable appearance on “The Colbert Report” last week. It called to mind one of the many times this writer has caught the band; one of the more memorable appearances was up in Northern California for the short-lived Unlimited Sunshine tour some seven years ago:
